About the role

Edelman is a voice synonymous with trust, reimagining a future where the currency of communication is action. Our culture thrives on three promises: boldness is possibility, empathy is progress, and curiosity is momentum.

At Edelman, we understand diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) transform our colleagues, our company, our clients, and our communities. We are in relentless pursuit of an equitable and inspiring workplace that is respectful of all, reflects and represents the world in which we live, and fosters trust, collaboration and belonging.

A senior account executive must have a comprehensive level of understanding of the accounts s/he works on – their business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc. – and succinctly convey this knowledge to the media and client team members.  S/he must also have a solid grasp of all traditional public relations tools, and be able to recommend a variety of strategies and tactics to his/her clients.  S/he must be able to work effectively and provide sound counsel with lower levels of client contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Account/Client Management: Demonstrate understanding of key client information, fostering good client communication with an outgoing and flexible approach
  • Content: Understands trends in supported industries; excels in crafting press releases, briefing books, internal newsletters, etc.
  • Media Engagement: Manages daily media needs, e.g., mass distributions, product seeding, event RSVP, etc.; pitches and oversees media interviews
  • Planning: Assists with retainer and project planning
  • Event: Coordinates client events, including logistics arrangement, onsite support, etc.
  • Financial Planning and Management: Demonstrate understanding of financial concepts at the project level, assist project managers on tracking and monitoring financials

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above;
  • Relevant 2-4 years in public relations, experience in managing and executing large communications projects and campaigns;
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills;
  • Good anti-pressure ability: accept reasonable OT;
  • Team player and high English language skillset

We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
