About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter based in the United States.
We are seeking a driven and strategic Senior Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting for technical professionals supporting a rapidly expanding, multi-site organization. In this role, you will identify, attract, and secure exceptional talent across field service, engineering, and skilled technical trades. You will take ownership of the recruitment process from initial intake and proactive sourcing through screening, interviews, offer negotiation, and successful placement. Working closely with hiring managers across multiple locations, you will build talent pipelines, strengthen recruitment strategies, and anticipate workforce needs as the organization expands through acquisitions. You will play a critical role in maintaining a high standard of talent while identifying candidates who align with an entrepreneurial, employee-owned culture. This is an exciting opportunity for a resourceful recruiter who thrives on autonomy, enjoys sourcing hard-to-find professionals, and wants to make a measurable impact on organizational growth.
Accountabilities:
- Own the full-cycle recruitment process for technical positions, including intake meetings, sourcing, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer management, negotiation, and successful candidate placement.
- Proactively identify, engage, and recruit high-performing technical professionals, including Field Service Technicians, Field Service Managers, engineers, and other skilled technical talent.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to reach passive candidates who may not be actively searching for new opportunities.
- Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean searches, X-ray search techniques, employee referrals, competitor talent mapping, and professional networks to identify qualified candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers across multiple branches and locations to understand workforce requirements, define candidate profiles, establish hiring priorities, and facilitate timely hiring decisions.
- Build and maintain qualified talent pipelines ahead of anticipated hiring demand, supporting business expansion, geographic growth, and integration following acquisitions.
- Research new markets and geographic regions to identify available talent pools and develop sourcing strategies tailored to local hiring needs.
- Establish relationships with industry associations and professional communities, including CETA, NSF, NEBB, and broader field-service and skilled-trades networks.
- Evaluate candidates' technical capabilities, professional experience, communication skills, and alignment with organizational values and culture.
- Present compelling career opportunities to high-quality candidates, highlighting the organization's mission, employee ownership model, professional growth opportunities, and long-term potential.
- Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruitment lifecycle, maintaining clear communication, timely feedback, and a positive candidate experience.
- Monitor recruitment pipelines, identify sourcing challenges, and adjust strategies to improve candidate quality, hiring efficiency, and overall recruitment outcomes.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to maintain consistent hiring standards while balancing urgency, quality, and cultural alignment.
- Support the organization's continued growth by delivering scalable recruiting processes and helping establish a strong technical workforce across its expanding branch network.
- 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a demonstrated track record of successfully hiring technical professionals.
- Previous experience recruiting for field service, skilled trades, engineering, technical operations, or other specialized technical roles.
- Strong sourcing expertise, with the ability to identify and engage qualified passive candidates, including experienced professionals who are not actively seeking new employment.
- Hands-on proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, X-ray search, referral sourcing, and competitive talent mapping.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously while maintaining high candidate quality and an organized recruitment pipeline.
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop sourcing strategies, assess candidates, and facilitate effective hiring decisions.
- Strong candidate engagement and persuasion skills, with the ability to communicate compellingly with experienced technical professionals and secure their interest in new opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong interviewing and assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate technical experience, professional competencies, and alignment with organizational values.
- A proactive, self-directed working style, with strong organizational skills and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine enthusiasm for taking ownership of recruitment outcomes, solving sourcing challenges, and contributing directly to business growth.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to recruit across multiple locations and collaborate with distributed teams.
- A commitment to candidate quality, professional integrity, and a positive recruitment experience throughout the hiring process.
- Experience recruiting for field service organizations, calibration and metrology services, controlled environments, life sciences, pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, or medical device businesses.
- Familiarity with technical service industries supporting hospitals, laboratories, research facilities, and other science-focused environments.
- Experience recruiting within multi-site organizations or supporting workforce expansion through acquisitions.
- Familiarity with professional associations and industry networks relevant to technical field services and specialized engineering roles.
- Previous experience working in a founder-led, entrepreneurial, or employee-owned organization.
- Competitive salary: Annual base salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 USD.
- Equity ownership: The opportunity to participate in the organization's equity ownership structure and share in the value created through business growth.
- Comprehensive healthcare: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family.
