Join a forward-thinking digital marketing environment where traditional search engine optimization meets the rapidly evolving world of generative AI and AI-powered search experiences. As a Senior Account Manager, you will lead organic search strategies for a portfolio of enterprise clients, helping brands strengthen their visibility across search engines, AI-generated summaries, and large language model-driven discovery platforms. You will combine technical SEO expertise, data-driven analysis, and innovative GEO experimentation to deliver measurable business outcomes. Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for your clients, you will translate complex insights into actionable strategies while coordinating deliverables and mentoring junior team members. This remote-first opportunity is ideal for a strategic, curious professional who enjoys client relationships, embraces emerging technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative consulting environment. You will also help shape the future of organic visibility by testing new tools, refining AI-powered workflows, and continuously evolving your approach to search.
Accountabilities:
-
Lead SEO and GEO Strategy: Develop and execute annual and quarterly organic search roadmaps aligned with client business objectives, incorporating traditional SEO, generative engine optimization, and emerging AI-driven discovery experiences.
-
Manage Client Relationships: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of approximately four to six active accounts, leading weekly status calls, answering client questions, managing expectations, and maintaining strong working relationships.
-
Drive Account Planning and Delivery: Own project plans, coordinate deliverables, manage timelines and dependencies, and ensure work progresses efficiently across multiple clients and industries. Take on project management responsibilities for accounts without dedicated project managers.
-
Conduct Search and Competitive Research: Perform content gap analyses, keyword research, competitive assessments, and search engine results page (SERP) analysis to identify opportunities for improved organic performance and generative visibility.
-
Translate Data Into Business Insights: Analyze performance data from GA4, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, and leading SEO platforms to explain traffic trends, ranking changes, SERP feature shifts, and emerging generative search indicators.
-
Strengthen Technical SEO Foundations: Recommend improvements to site architecture, internal linking, structured data, indexing, and crawlability to enhance search performance, entity clarity, and discoverability across traditional and AI-powered platforms.
-
Leverage AI and Automation: Use tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, APIs, and automation platforms to accelerate research, synthesize information, test ideas, and develop scalable SEO and GEO workflows.
-
Experiment and Innovate: Test, refine, and document AI-driven processes and GEO experiments, using evidence and business context to identify opportunities and improve organic visibility strategies.
-
Mentor and Review Team Deliverables: Guide one to two associates per account by assigning work, reviewing outputs, explaining strategic recommendations, and supporting their professional development.
-
Communicate Strategic Recommendations: Present findings and recommendations clearly to clients and senior stakeholders, connecting SEO and GEO initiatives to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
-
Manage Onboarding and Independent Delivery: Progress from initial training and client support to managing multiple accounts and independently owning account strategy within the first 90 days.
-
SEO Strategy Experience: Demonstrated experience developing and managing SEO strategies across multiple industries, with the ability to adapt to changes in search behavior and AI-generated search results.
-
Enterprise Client Experience: Experience managing enterprise-level clients, navigating complex stakeholder relationships, meeting high expectations, and delivering strategic recommendations in demanding client environments.
-
Technical SEO Expertise: Strong understanding of site architecture, structured data, indexing diagnostics, crawlability, internal linking, and performance optimization, including their impact on traditional rankings and generative search visibility.
-
GEO and AI Search Knowledge: Understanding of generative engine optimization and emerging AI-powered search experiences, including AI Overviews, generative citations, and evolving approaches to measuring search visibility.
-
Analytics and Measurement Skills: Proficiency with GA4, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, and leading SEO tools, with the ability to interpret data and connect performance indicators to business outcomes.
-
AI and LLM Proficiency: Hands-on experience using AI tools beyond basic content generation, including research, data analysis, hypothesis testing, workflow development, and process automation.
-
Project Management Skills: Comfort using Wrike to manage project templates, track deliverables, establish task dependencies, and coordinate account execution. Ability to manage project workflows independently when dedicated project management support is unavailable.
-
Client Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confidence presenting strategic insights, and a genuine interest in collaborating with clients and navigating ambiguity.
-
Analytical and Critical Thinking: Ability to assess AI-generated outputs critically, validate insights against real-world business context, and make informed strategic decisions rather than relying solely on automation.
-
Organization and Adaptability: Strong time management, prioritization, and context-switching skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and changing demands simultaneously.
-
Continuous Learning Mindset: Enthusiasm for testing emerging technologies, adapting to new tools and processes, documenting learnings, and contributing to ongoing innovation.
-
Location and Availability: Must be based in the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii, and able to work during continental U.S. business hours.
-
First 90-Day Milestones: Complete divisional training and begin supporting at least one client by day 30; onboard to at least three accounts and begin taking ownership of their strategies by day 60; and independently manage assigned accounts and deliver strategic work by day 90.
-
Competitive Annual Salary: Compensation ranging from $85,000 to $100,000, depending on skills and experience.
-
Regular Compensation Reviews: Compensation is evaluated at least annually.
-
Remote-First Work Environment: Work remotely from an eligible U.S. location, with the option to work from the organization's Philadelphia headquarters.
-
Professional Growth: Opportunities to expand expertise in SEO, GEO, AI-powered marketing, and emerging digital discovery technologies.
-
Innovative Work: Hands-on exposure to AI tools, experimentation, and evolving organic search strategies.
