Duties:
- Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate Spanish instruction aligned with Rhode Island’s World Languages Curriculum Framework and applicable school curriculum expectations.
- Plan a clear instructional progression, with measurable learning outcomes that build communication skills, cultural understanding, and increasing language proficiency over time.
- Provide meaningful opportunities to listen, speak, read, write, and interact in Spanish, using authentic language experiences appropriate to grade and proficiency level.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, related service providers, and families to implement applicable IEP/504 accommodation and instructional supports within the world-language program.

- Use approved digital tools and platforms, such as Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, or equivalent resources, as support for guided practice and enrichment rather than as automatic replacements for teacher-led instruction.
- Work with school leadership to review the suitability and continuity of alternative language-learning options, including how students can progress year by year.
