Special Needs Caregiver / DSP

$500 Sign-On Bonus Available in Buncombe, Henderson, and McDowell Counties!

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Caregivers, Direct Care Workers, and Community Support Professionals to join our growing team in Marion, NC and surrounding areas.

As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their homes and communities. You'll serve as a mentor, companion, and support professional, helping clients build independence, develop life skills, and participate in meaningful community activities.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Provide personal care assistance, including dressing, grooming, and daily living support
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
• Participate in hobbies, recreational activities, and social engagement opportunities
• Assist with meal preparation and household routines
• Support community integration and independence goals
• Build positive relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting pay at $15/hr+
• Weekly pay
• Flexible scheduling
• Afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts available
• Short commute times whenever possible

Qualifications for Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP):

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training may be available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. While we will complete education verification as part of the hiring process, providing a copy of your diploma, GED certificate, or certified/sealed transcripts can help prevent delays if records are difficult to obtain.
