About the role
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and shipping providers to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
- Prepare and manage shipping quotes for customers.
- Negotiate freight and shipping rates with carriers and couriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Monitor shipment activity to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.(Job posting wording based on shipping coordination responsibilities.)
- Prepare reports and provide logistics data to management.
- Support customs and transportation compliance requirements when applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good attendance record and reliability.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Preferred
- SAP experience.
- Customs and international shipping knowledge.
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse, or transportation operations.
