About the role
The Role:
The Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Operations is responsible for managing and enhancing the performance, reliability, and scalability of the company's core IT infrastructure. This role provides advanced technical leadership in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure systems across on-premises and cloud environments. The right candidate brings deep infrastructure expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong sense of ownership in delivering seamless IT services to internal users. Success in this role requires a combination of technical depth, operational discipline, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-impact technology environment. This is a full-time remote job based in India reporting to the Assistant Manager, IT Operations,
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server and AWS/Oracle Cloud infrastructure issues to ensure availability, security, and performance.
- Install, configure, patch, secure, and maintain Linux servers across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments, including RHEL, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux.
- Support infrastructure operations involving servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Manage Linux system administration, including user access, permissions, services, logs, filesystems, and performance tuning.
- Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure security standards.
- Develop automation scripts using Terraform, Bash, PowerShell, or Ansible to streamline administrative tasks.
- Manage cloud resources, backups, recovery, monitoring, and disaster recovery testing.
- Manage user access and identity lifecycles using Active Directory (AD), Okta, Entra.
- Support incident, change, configuration, and asset management, maintaining accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborate with IT Engineering and other teams on infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new technologies.
- Follow company policies, data privacy and security requirements, and 11:11’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and Knowledge of Windows Server administration is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration or IT infrastructure operations. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Hands-on experience administering Linux distributions such as RHEL, Ubuntu, or Amazon Linux.
- Working knowledge of server, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience with Linux patching, troubleshooting, system performance, security hardening, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Proficiency in Bash scripting; experience with Python or Ansible is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in Linux, AWS, or Oracle Cloud are preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in India without visa sponsorship.
