Job Description:
Role at a Glance
The Senior Revenue Cycle Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all revenue cycle functions within the College of Dental Medicine's clinics in Nevada and Utah. This role oversees billing, collections, accounts receivable, revenue cycle performance, and third-party vendor relationships while serving as the College's lead expert for Epic revenue cycle workflows and optimization. Ideal candidates are proactive leaders who enjoy building processes, solving complex operational challenges, and driving continuous improvement across a growing healthcare environment.
What You'll Do & Why You'll Love This Role
- Lead and improve revenue cycle operations across multiple clinic locations, helping drive financial performance, process efficiency, and exceptional patient service.
- Take ownership of Epic revenue cycle workflows, reporting, optimization, and the ongoing transition of Utah clinic operations into Epic.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes that reduce denials, improve collections, and strengthen operational performance.
- Partner with clinical, operational, finance, and technology leaders to build scalable processes and create consistency across Utah and Nevada clinic operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop revenue cycle staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Make a visible impact in a role with significant autonomy, where you'll have the opportunity to shape strategy, influence outcomes, and truly make the function your own.
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive revenue cycle experience in a healthcare, dental, academic clinical, or medical practice environment, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated experience managing revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, claims management, reimbursement, and financial performance monitoring.
Preferred
- Experience working with revenue cycle technology and electronic health record systems; Epic revenue cycle implementation, optimization, or workflow management experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in a dental school, academic health center, dental practice, or multi-site healthcare environment preferred.
What Makes You Successful
You are someone who:
✅ You're highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage complex workflows and identify issues before they become problems.
✅ You are a self-starter who takes ownership, exercises sound judgment, and drives work forward with minimal oversight.
✅ You thrive in environments where you're empowered to build processes, improve systems, and create structure rather than simply maintain the status quo.
✅ You quickly learn new systems and concepts and have the ability to translate data and operational challenges into practical solutions.
✅ You are an influential collaborator who can work effectively with clinical leaders, finance teams, vendors, and technical partners to achieve shared goals.
