We’re part of a team that enables advanced semiconductor design through innovative CAD and EDA solutions. Our work sits at the intersection of design automation, software engineering, and AI, helping engineering teams move faster, solve complex challenges, and deliver high-quality products. If you enjoy tackling technical problems and improving the tools that power chip development, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

As a CAD Engineer, you will support and enhance semiconductor design flows, EDA tools, and automation solutions used across integrated circuit development. This role combines software development, technical leadership, and AI-driven innovation to improve engineering productivity and design quality. You will collaborate closely with design, process, and CAD teams while helping shape the next generation of design methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex CAD and EDA tool development, enhancement, and support projects
  • Drive AI and machine learning adoption within CAD workflows and engineering processes
  • Develop, debug, and improve design, layout, simulation, and verification tools and flows
  • Partner with design and process engineering teams to optimize semiconductor development methodologies
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation for new tools and capabilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting semiconductor design flows, EDA tools, and CAD methodologies
  • Experience with IC design CAD tools, including schematic, layout, simulation, and verification environments
  • Strong programming fundamentals with experience in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Perl, Lisp, SKILL, or Visual Basic
  • Knowledge of VLSI design concepts and CMOS circuit design fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience applying AI, large language models (LLMs), or agentic AI frameworks to engineering workflows
  • Experience with Unix environments and shell scripting
  • Familiarity with RTL-to-GDS design flows and tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, or SpyGlass
  • Experience with analog or digital verification flows, parasitic extraction, or design database version control systems
