About the role
About Nooks.ai:
Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM. We design AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Building 0→1 has never been easier, but selling at the speed of the market remains the last frontier for AI. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on what humans do best: closing deals.
Today, over 2000 customers run on Nooks, including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling. We've raised over 70M USD from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, and we've at least tripled ARR each year for 3 years running.
We're looking for our first Talent Brand and Technical Content Manager to make Nooks one of the most sought-after places for engineers and AI researchers to work.
We're hiring some of the best technical talent in the industry, and the people we want have their pick of AI companies. They don't respond to generic employer branding. They want to know what the hard problems are, who they'd be working with, and whether the work is real. You'll build the talent brand that answers those questions: defining why great engineers and researchers should choose Nooks, and creating the technical stories and content that prove it.
This role sits at the intersection of employer brand and technical content. You'll work closely with our engineers and Nooks Research, our applied AI team, to turn what they're building into messages and content that resonate with technical audiences, and you'll partner with Recruiting to put that story in front of the candidates we most want to hire. You'll report to the Head of Communications & Content and partner closely with Engineering, Nooks Research, Recruiting, People, Brand Design and the executive team.
About the role:
Define why engineers choose Nooks
Develop our employer value proposition for engineering and research talent: the problems, the people, the pace and the impact
Build the messaging framework and talent brand roadmap, consistent with the Nooks brand but built for technical audiences
Partner with engineering and research leaders to articulate what makes our technical work hard and distinctive
Create technical content that recruits
Produce engineering and research blog posts, technical deep dives, and stories about how we build our agents and infrastructure
Help engineers and researchers publish, speak and show up in the communities, conferences, podcasts and channels where technical talent spends time
Build a repeatable process that makes it easy for engineers to contribute without slowing down their work
Own the candidate-facing story
Own the Careers site narrative and the content that brings our culture and team to life, including engineer spotlights, team stories and video
Run talent brand content across LinkedIn, X, Glassdoor and the other channels technical candidates use
Partner with Recruiting on job descriptions, outreach messaging and the interview experience, so every touchpoint reflects the brand
Build talent communities and advocacy
Build nurture programs and communities for passive technical candidates
Launch an employee advocacy program that helps our engineers share their work and refer great people
Plan technical events, meetups and talent brand moments in our hubs in San Francisco, Seattle and New York
Measure what matters
Track careers traffic, content engagement with technical audiences, and the volume, quality and source of technical applicants
Share results with Recruiting and leadership and refine the strategy based on what works
About you:
6+ years of experience in employer brand, talent marketing, technical content or developer marketing at a high-growth technology company
A track record of building talent brand or content programs that attracted engineering or technical talent
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a portfolio that includes content written for engineers or technical audiences
The ability to work closely with engineers and researchers and turn complex technical work into clear, compelling stories
Strong understanding of AI and modern software, or the technical curiosity to learn it quickly
A data-driven approach to setting goals, measuring results and iterating
Experience partnering across Recruiting, People, Marketing and senior leadership, and comfort in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
Nice to have:
Experience at an AI company, research lab or developer-focused company
An engineering, computer science or research background
Experience building an employer brand from the ground up at a Series B to D startup
Experience producing video, podcasts or talks with technical speakers
