About the role
Box Hill High School is a newly established co-educational comprehensive secondary school that became operational in 2026, located on a temporary site with Box Hill Public School in Sydney's north-west region on Dharug Country. The school welcomed its inaugural cohort of Year 7 students in 2026 and enrolments will grow each year with the addition of new year groups.
The student population reflects the cultural diversity of the Box Hill community, with approximately 59% of students having a Language Backgrounds Other Than English (LBOTE), representing a wide range of countries of origin. Approximately 60% of students require English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) support.
In its inaugural year, Box Hill High School has focused on establishing strong foundations for teaching, learning and wellbeing. The curriculum is built upon the Box Hill High School Growth Framework, embedding six key pillars: literacy, numeracy, wellbeing, innovation, transition and global citizenship. Guided by the school motto "Inspired to Grow," these pillars shape curriculum design, teaching practice and student learning experiences, supporting students to develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions required to thrive in a changing world.
The school will move to its permanent site in 2028, where purpose-built facilities will further enhance opportunities for innovative learning, collaboration and student wellbeing.
