About the role

Barellan Central School, situated centrally between the two main towns of West Wyalong and Griffith, is part of the West Wyalong Principal Network. With a proud enrolment of 56 students spanning primary and secondary faculties, our school embodies a strong sense of belonging and community connection. To meet the diverse curriculum needs of our students, we have developed a range of innovative organisational structures. These include the Tri-Access program, which collaborates with three local schools to deliver Stage 5 electives, stage-based classes tailored for effective learning, and the Riverina Access Program (RAP), a partnership of six schools providing comprehensive delivery of Stage 6 curriculum. At Barellan Central School, excellence in education is central to everything we do. We are committed to improving student learning outcomes through the consistent application of high-quality teaching practices. This commitment is supported by whole-school and targeted teacher professional learning, ensuring our educators are continually developing and refining their skills. Our approach is future-focused, aiming to nurture well-informed, critical, and creative thinkers who demonstrate high resilience. This is underpinned by a whole-school wellbeing strategy that fosters a positive and supportive environment where every student feels valued and connected.
