The College of Christian Studies at Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Christian Studies. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning. Additionally, applicants in the College of Christian Studies must be a member of a Southern Baptist Church and be able to affirm to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000), the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, and the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
Work Performed
This Faculty member will teach courses in Church History, Historical Theology, and Old Testament Survey or New Testament Survey in-person. If qualified, this faculty member may be asked to teach Discipleship as well. Applicants should, therefore, live within driving distance of the campus.
