NHC HealthCare Milan is seeking an organized and professional Unit Clerk to support the nursing team and daily operations of the assigned unit. This role helps maintain accurate information, supports communication, and provides courteous assistance to patients, residents, families, visitors, and partners.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support to the nursing unit.

• Answer telephones, route calls, and assist visitors in a professional manner.

• Maintain unit records, forms, files, and other documentation as assigned.

• Assist with scheduling duties for the nursing unit, including coordinating and updating staff schedules as directed.

• Assist with communication between nursing staff, physicians, departments, patients, residents, and families.

• Enter or update information in approved systems as directed.

• Maintain adequate supplies and help keep the nurses' station organized.

• Protect confidential patient and resident information in accordance with applicable requirements.

• Perform additional clerical duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

• Basic computer and data-entry skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a health care environment.

• Previous clerical, medical office, or health care experience is preferred.
