Van Driver - Parttime

Job Purpose:
- Delivering and picking up meals, equipment, and other assigned items to locations in Central Ohio using program vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering and picking up meals and other assigned items to locations in Central Ohio using program vehicle.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery and pickup of items as per schedule.
- Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the program vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with clients and staff to coordinate delivery and pickup schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Assist older adults and handicapped individuals with the delivery and pickup process, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports related to deliveries and pickups.
- Participate in agency’s defensive driving and cargo van driving tests to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:
- Must be able to read and write
- Ability to navigate using a map

Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with older adults
- Experience working with handicapped individuals

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must pass Agency’s defensive driving test
- Must pass cargo van driving test
