Role: Veterinary Technician Assistant

Status: Full-Time or Part-Time

Salary: $8.00–$12.00/hr, based on experience

Schedule: 4-day workweek and rotating Saturday

Experience: Veterinary experience preferred but not required

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

Companion Animal Hospital of Waller is looking for a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll support our veterinarians and veterinary technicians, help care for our patients, and keep the hospital clean and organized.

Full-time and part-time positions are available, with flexible scheduling. Experience is a plus but not required, so if you bring a passion for animals and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinary technicians and doctors with patient care and treatment
• Restrain patients during examinations and procedures
• Help prepare patients for surgery and other procedures
• Monitor the condition of hospitalized patients
• Feed, bathe, and exercise patients as needed
• Clean and sanitize exam rooms, kennels, and equipment
• Maintain accurate records and update patient charts
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and help maintain inventory

Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Veterinary experience preferred but not required
• A passion for working with animals
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and tasks
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40 lbs
• Veterinary technician licensure is welcomed but not required
