Vice President

Few CMBS origination roles offer this opportunity: the chance to help build the platform.

Our client – a leading global investment bank – launched a Commercial Real Estate Finance business.  With a high-caliber team of balance sheet originators and capital markets professionals already in-place, they are now seeking a Vice President or Director-level CMBS Conduit Originator to help shape the next chapter of the platform’s growth. 

This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial originator to leverage the strength, balance sheet, and brand recognition of a major institution while enjoying the autonomy typically found in a much smaller organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate CMBS/conduit loans across major property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, and hospitality.
• Develop relationships with owners, sponsors, mortgage bankers, brokers, and debt advisors.
• Source and manage a pipeline of lending opportunities.
• Negotiate loan terms, pricing, and structures with borrowers.
• Coordinate with underwriting, credit, legal, and capital markets teams through closing.
• Present transactions to internal committees and senior management.
• Monitor CRE and CMBS market trends to identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of commercial real estate lending experience.
• Proven CMBS/conduit origination track record.
• Strong relationships within the CRE finance community.
• Deep understanding of underwriting, credit, loan structuring, and capital markets.
• Excellent business development, negotiation, and presentation skills.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$175,000.00 - $250,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
