About Ennoble Care
Ennoble Care provides community-based primary, palliative, and hospice care to patients wherever home is for them. We operate across 17 states and serve more than 50,000 patients per year.
Why this role exists
Our patients are often older, often homebound, and often living with serious illness. Most days, the person who knows them best is their nurse practitioner or physician assistant, who visits them at home.
The Virtual Supervising Physician (VSP) role adds a physician’s perspective to that relationship. You won’t replace the clinician who knows the patient. You’ll be a second set of experienced eyes: sitting down with the patient, and often their caregiver, to make sure the care plan still fits their goals, and passing along (to the APP) anything that deserves a closer look.
For patients, it means a physician takes time to listen. For our APPs, it means a physician colleague who has their back. For you, it means meaningful, patient-centered work from home, without call, rounding, or a commute.
About the role
You will do annual telehealth visits with Ennoble Care patients. In each visit you will:
- Review the care plan with the patient and, where appropriate, their caregiver.
- Confirm the patient’s goals.
- Flag concerns or recommended changes to the patient’s primary Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
Your visits add to the care the APP already provides. They do not replace it. You will report to the Regional Chief Medical Officer or one of their direct reports.
Ennoble Care is a tech-enabled practice with its own electronic medical record, built around how our teams actually work. It keeps administrative burden low, and we’ll train you to use it to prepare for each visit and document efficiently, so your time goes to the patient.
What to expect
- Fully remote, using video visits (audio-only where the patient cannot use video).
- A target of about 20 telehealth visits per day (roughly 3 per hour) at 1.0 FTE, prorated for part-time.
- A schedule set with your input.
- Freedom to work elsewhere outside your scheduled Ennoble time, as long as it doesn’t conflict.
Compensation
- Estimated total annual compensation target of $250,000 to $275,000 at 1.0 FTE.
- Non-exempt position paid per completed visit, so actual pay depends on visit volume and complexity.
Requirements
- MD or DO, board certified and maintained throughout employment (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred)
- Active, unrestricted license in at least one of our markets (AL, DC, DE, FL, GA, KS, KY, MD, MO, MS, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, VA), and willingness to obtain additional state licenses at company expense
- Current DEA registration in good standing
- Eligible to enroll and bill as a Medicare practitioner; not excluded or debarred from any federal health care program
- Insurable under our professional liability policy
- Comfortable with a high-volume telehealth schedule and productivity measurement
- Strong, efficient clinical documentation
