About the role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Multi-Site Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead the expansion, standardization, and compliance of WHS programs across our growing Sub-Same Day (SSD) delivery operations in Mexico. This is a strategic leadership role at the forefront of our operational growth, ensuring every new and existing site meets the highest safety standards from day one.
In this role, you will be the primary WHS leader responsible for driving a culture of safety across multiple sites. You will develop and administer compliance frameworks built on both leading indicators (proactive safety activities, training completion, hazard identification) and lagging indicators (incident rates, severity metrics, lost-time injuries), using data to anticipate risks before they materialize and to measure the effectiveness of corrective actions.
You will work hand-in-hand with operational teams to implement safety policies, ensure adherence to Amazon global WHS standards, and guarantee full compliance with Mexican federal and local regulations — including STPS NOMs, IMSS requirements, and Proteccion Civil mandates. Your ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and embed safety into every operational process will be critical to our success.
Key job responsibilities
Data-Driven Decision Making
Own the safety data narrative — "numbers without context are noise"
Real-time dashboards, trend modeling, evidence-based culture
WBR/MBR/QBR readiness — every recommendation rooted in data
Effective Communication with Senior Leadership.
Primary WHS voice to Managers — concise 6-pagers and narratives
Proactive escalation — "surface hard truths early, not surprises late"
Influence without authority, earn trust through results
Incident Analysis (IA) Effectiveness & Productivity
Standardized investigation framework, cycle-time targets
Tiered IA rigor matched to severity
Build local investigator capability, validate CAPAs are actually working
Field Presence & Gemba Leadership (70%+ Floor Time)
70% minimum field presence — "non-negotiable"
Purposeful Gemba walks, real-time hazard identification
Validate that policies land on the floor, model expected behaviors
