About the role
Ozcare is creating a new role to help transform how workforce planning, rostering and workforce utilisation is managed across our Residential Aged Care business. This role has been established to address a real business challenge: improving workforce utilisation, strengthening rostering capability and reducing reliance on agency labour through better planning, systems and operational practices.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer - Aged Care and working from our corporate office in Kangaroo Point, you'll work across Operations, People & Culture, Payroll, Finance and Project Teams to identify workforce inefficiencies, improve rostering practices and drive workforce optimisation initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.
This is not a traditional workforce planning role focused solely on reporting. You'll be in the business, partnering with operational leaders to solve workforce challenges, uplift capability and embed consistent workforce management practices across Residential Aged Care.
What you'll be doing
Analyse workforce utilisation, rostering and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Improve workforce utilisation and reduce avoidable agency labour, overtime and other high-cost workforce practices.
Partner closely with Facility Managers and operational leaders to strengthen workforce planning and rostering capability.
Drive consistent workforce planning and rostering standards across the aged care portfolio.
Lead the optimisation and adoption of Mirus Works and support the operational readiness, implementation and embedding of Dayforce across the business.
Work closely with HR Business Partners and operational leaders to identify workforce gaps and improve workforce deployment outcomes.
Provide practical, data-driven recommendations that influence workforce decisions and improve operational performance.
What we're looking for
You may come from workforce planning, workforce optimisation, workforce analytics, rostering, operations improvement or a workforce management background.
Most importantly, you'll know how to turn workforce data into practical solutions and influence leaders to adopt better ways of working.
You'll bring:
Experience in workforce planning, rostering or workforce optimisation.
Strong understanding of workforce deployment, roster management and payroll processes.
Experience identifying trends and translating workforce data into actionable recommendations.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Experience improving workforce systems, processes or operational practices.
The ability to coach, support and challenge operational leaders to drive better workforce outcomes.
Experience with workforce management platforms such as Dayforce, Mirus Works, Kronos, Humanforce or similar systems will be highly regarded.
Why join Ozcare?
This is a newly created opportunity where you'll have the autonomy to shape workforce planning capability across a large and complex aged care operation.
You'll play a key role in reducing workforce inefficiencies, improving rostering practices and helping operational leaders make better workforce decisions.
If you're looking for a role where you can influence strategy, improve systems and see the real impact of your work across the organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
