Summary of Role

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Driver / Courier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and secure collection and delivery of products, materials, and medical samples, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained. You will play a vital role in supporting healthcare services by ensuring shipments are transported safely, accurately, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled collections and deliveries in line with service requirements and timelines.
• Verify shipment details and ensure all transport documentation is accurate and complete.
• Obtain proof of delivery and required customer signatures.
• Transport products and medical samples safely and securely according to established procedures.
• Monitor and communicate delivery progress, delays, or shipment issues promptly.
• Support loading, unloading, packaging, and labelling activities as required.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report maintenance requirements.
• Assist with specialised transport assignments, including airport, transfer-point, and hand-to-hand deliveries.

Skills and Knowledge

• Previous experience in a driving, courier, delivery, or logistics role.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow transportation procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Understanding of health and safety practices within a transport environment.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high levels of service.

Desirable

• Experience transporting pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical products.
• Knowledge of temperature-controlled transportation processes.
• Familiarity with proof of delivery systems and electronic tracking tools.
• Experience carrying out time-critical deliveries.
• Understanding of logistics and distribution operations.
• Experience supporting warehouse, loading, or dispatch activities.
• Ability to resolve issues and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements within regulated industries.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Less than 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier operations, delivery services, or a related field required. Certification in dangerous goods awareness, licensure in operation of the applicable vehicle class, cold chain handling, or equivalent required.
