About the role
Associate Recruiter
At Digital Prospectors, we believe all people should love their jobs—and we would love to help you build a career you love! We are seeking an inquisitive, motivated Associate Recruiter to join our in-house team and help connect talented people with opportunities at our clients.
This entry role in our company is the first step on the path to becoming a Technical Recruiter at DPC. Through extensive training, coaching, and hands-on experience, you will learn how to identify, engage, and initially qualify candidates while working alongside our tenured team. As your skills develop, you will gain experience in the full recruiting cycle and take on additional responsibilities based on your readiness and performance.
This role requires an increased onsite presence during initial training and onboarding, up to five days per week, to support hands-on learning, collaboration, and coaching. Transition to DPC’s standard hybrid schedule of two onsite days per week will be based on training progress and demonstrated readiness. We operate full-time, Monday through Friday, and this role is eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and professional development. Eligibility, coverage, and other terms are governed by the applicable plans and company policies.
In this role you will:
- Participate actively in training and coaching to learn DPC’s recruiting process, tools, client needs, and the roles and industries we support.
- Partner with Recruiters and Account Executives to understand job requirements, hiring priorities, and what makes a candidate well suited for an opportunity.
- Identify and source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, our internal database, referrals, and networking; build relationships for current and future openings.
- Initiate personalized outreach by phone, email, text and professional networking platforms, with consistent follow-up to engage candidates.
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone conversations to understand relevant experience, career interests, compensation expectations, availability, and work location preferences.
- Share clear candidate summaries with Recruiters/Account Executives, highlighting qualifications, interests, and questions that need further discussion.
- Post job openings, respond to applicants, and assist with candidate follow-up and interview coordination as needed, providing a responsive and professional candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate records, outreach activity, screening notes, and next steps in Bullhorn, our applicant tracking system.
- Handle candidate information confidentially, follow company guidelines for recruiting tools and outreach, and represent DPC with integrity, accountability, and a One Team mindset.
- Be accountable for meeting established recruiting activity, candidate quality, and performance goals.
- What you will bring/expectations:
- At least 2 years of professional experience, ideally in a talent acquisition-based environment (Staffing, Sourcing, Human Resources, Recruiting, etc.).
- Onsite presence during initial training and onboarding, up to five days per week, then transition to DPC’s standard hybrid schedule of two onsite days per week upon successful completion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and comfort initiating conversations with new people, especially by phone.
- Organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn new technology, research unfamiliar roles, ask questions, and apply feedback.
- Resilience and perseverance when outreach goes unanswered or priorities change, along with ownership of your commitments and results.
- Motivation to succeed in a performance-driven environment with commission opportunities, where individual accomplishments and team success are recognized and celebrated.
Your development at DPC:
Success in this role means building recruiting knowledge, developing candidate relationships, delivering qualified candidates in a timely fashion, maintaining accurate records, and consistently following through. As you demonstrate these skills, you will build a foundation for greater ownership of the recruiting process and progression toward a Technical Recruiter role.
You will be a valued member of our high-performance, pro-employee culture, where our PASSION values and One Team approach guide how we work. This role is eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and professional development. Eligibility, coverage, and other terms are governed by the applicable plans and company policies.
