Catering Prep Cook/Dishwasher

Job Purpose:
- The Catering Prep Cook / Dishwasher at LIFECARE ALLIANCE will support our busy catering kitchen. This hybrid position combines basic food preparation with dishwashing, sanitation, and general kitchen support to ensure smooth and efficient operations during catering events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing and cutting produce, portioning ingredients, and preparing items for catering events.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and other kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and healthy kitchen environment.
- Stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties, including lifting and carrying supplies and equipment, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support overall kitchen operations and assist in other duties as needed to ensure successful catering events.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:
- Food handler certification is preferred

Required Experience:
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards

Preferred Experience:
- Previous kitchen, food preparation, or dishwashing experience preferred

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties, including lifting and carrying supplies and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
