As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build independence, reach personal goals, and participate meaningfully in their communities.
What You’ll Do
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will:
- Provide direct support with daily living activities and personal care.
- Help individuals build independent living, social, and community skills.
- Assist with hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders as needed.
- Support recreational, educational, vocational, and community activities.
- Monitor health, safety, and behavioral needs and report concerns.
- Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as required.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
- Promote dignity, choice, independence, and person-centered support.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
