About the role
Fort Lauderdale, FL · Full-time · On-site
Full benefits · $65,000–$80,000 + performance bonus · Path to $100K
You've worked around technology or construction. Now learn to price the job.
Maybe you've installed cameras, access control, or AV. Maybe you've estimated electrical or fire alarm work, quoted parts at a distributor, or run a team or a business with a technical background. If you like reading blueprints, drawings, figuring out how systems fit together, and getting the numbers right, we'll train you to estimate full commercial Division 27/28 projects: structured cabling, fiber, security and access control, CCTV, AV, wireless, and DAS.
You'll work in person every day with our sales team, project managers, and senior estimators. At Coranet, estimators own the quote. The company depends on your counts, pricing, and scope, so we train for accuracy and diligence first, then speed.
What you'll do
- Learn to own the entire quote, from drawings and specs through takeoff, pricing and proposal. Sales and operations will rely on your numbers
- Do takeoffs in Bluebeam Revu: accurate counts and measurements on every sheet and addendum, with no placeholders
- Learn the specs and the systems: what's required, what works and what won't
- Communicate with partners and vendors to get competitive pricing, negotiate their quotes and build lasting relationships
- Help source new partners and pricing as needed to expand where we can deliver work
- Keep pricing current with the latest systems and designs
- Build estimates in simPRO with our labor units and assemblies. We'll teach you; it's learnable in weeks
- Use AI tools to speed up takeoffs, check counts and catch scope gaps
- Learn how a missed device, a scope gap or off-market pricing exposes a job, and how to prevent it
- Support won jobs with cut sheets, product data, submittals and a clean handoff to project management
