Event Staff | Part Time | Caney Pines Convention Center

The Event Staff team delivers exceptional customer service while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all guests attending events at the Convention Center. Team members assist with guest wayfinding, access control, crowd management, and event support while serving as ambassadors for the venue.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.22 - $17.50.

Caney Pines Convention Center is East Montgomery County’s premier destination for conventions, meetings, trade shows, banquets, and community events. Owned by the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID) and managed by Oak View Group (OVG), the approximately 210,000-square-foot facility features a 55,000-square-foot ballroom/exhibition hall, flexible meeting space, and expansive pre-function areas designed to accommodate events of all sizes. Strategically located in Valley Ranch Town Center, Caney Pines Convention Center is positioned to serve as a leading gathering place for business, tourism, and community engagement.

• Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Verify tickets and assist guests with locating seats and venue amenities.
• Monitor assigned areas and report safety concerns.
• Provide guidance and information regarding concessions, restrooms, parking, and convention center policies.
• Assist with crowd management before, during, and after events.
• Respond professionally to guest questions and concerns.
• Support emergency procedures as directed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
