About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GRC Lead based in India.
We are seeking an experienced GRC Lead with strong expertise in SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (SAP GRC) to drive governance initiatives and support effective risk management across enterprise environments. In this leadership-oriented role, you will act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and helping teams deliver reliable, compliant, and high-quality solutions. You will collaborate with multiple teams and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions. You will also take ownership of important decisions, resolve complex challenges, and contribute to continuous process and performance improvements. Beyond your technical responsibilities, you will mentor team members, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote consistent delivery standards. Accountabilities:
- Technical Leadership and Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance, providing technical direction and guidance to teams while ensuring effective execution of projects and initiatives.
- Team Coordination and Management: Lead and coordinate team activities, support day-to-day delivery, facilitate decision-making, and ensure alignment with project objectives and business priorities.
- Governance and Compliance Solutions: Leverage SAP GRC expertise to support enterprise governance, risk management, and compliance requirements, ensuring solutions align with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with multiple teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify challenges, and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Technical Decision-Making: Take ownership of team-level technical decisions and contribute to strategic decisions involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical and operational challenges, providing practical solutions that improve team performance and project outcomes.
- Quality and Performance Management: Lead initiatives to ensure that delivered solutions meet established quality, reliability, and performance standards.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Guide and mentor junior team members, encourage continuous learning, and support the development of technical and professional capabilities.
- Technical Documentation: Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications, and relevant project records to ensure consistency and knowledge continuity.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve technical processes, collaboration practices, and solution delivery across teams.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (SAP GRC), with strong practical knowledge of the platform and its enterprise applications.
- Proven experience working as a technical lead, subject matter expert, or senior SAP GRC professional, with the ability to guide teams and influence technical decisions.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance principles within enterprise technology environments.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and providing guidance on complex implementation challenges.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Experience establishing and maintaining technical documentation, specifications, and project-related records.
- Good understanding of software quality, performance standards, and technical delivery best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, including supporting junior colleagues and promoting collaborative team development.
- Minimum of 15 years of full-time formal education.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-team environment and take ownership of technical responsibilities.
