TITLE: PRODUCTION UTILITY PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
DIRECT REPORT TO: STORE / ASST. MANAGER. PRODUCTION MANAGER
WHO WE ARE
Thrift World is a retail thrift store company that promotes recycling and re-use of used clothing, accessories, and other household goods in partnership with nonprofit organizations. Thrift World began operations in 1996 in Omaha, NE. We now have 10 retail store locations spanning 3 states, an export business, and an e-commerce store.
We plan to continue growing our retail and online store presence while increasing awareness and support for our non-profit partners, diverting more waste from the landfill, and creating more local jobs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Production Utility positions are a vital part of production in the backroom of a thrift Store. Ensuring production flows smoothly throughout the day by providing the necessary equipment,such as carts,alphas,empty trash cans,totes etc. A systematic process has been designed to help reach maximum efficiency and meet targets.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining sales floor and production areas with daily sweep and weekly mopping .
- Clean and stock restrooms daily.
- Empty trash cans in all work stations throughout the day.
- Move and replace carts, gaylords, pallets, and bins as needed. Label back stock
- Replenish hangers and supplies for production stations as needed
- Rotate hanger caddies from cashier areas
- Properly use pallet jack, carts and other medium to lightweight equipment and organise the back-stock
- Assist customers with furniture carryout and incoming donations as needed.
- At the end of each shift, replenish supplies, sweep the floor, empty trash cans and empty re-route totes so the workstation is clean, stocked and ready for the next shift.
- Willingness to cross train in other areas of production as needed.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
A driven team member that meets daily and weekly goals and works well in a production environment.
- Availability for full-time work 7.00 am - 3:30 pm typically Monday - Friday with an Occasional Saturday
- Available to work on Holidays (Excludes Christmas, Thanksgiving & Easter)
- Being an energetic and outgoing team member.
ERGONOMICS
- Efficiently and safely work with hands to processes product
- Physically able to stand the entire shift. Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
