About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Visa & Consular Processing Analyst (E-2) based in Brazil.
We are looking for a detail-oriented visa and consular processing professional with hands-on experience in U.S. Embassy or Consulate operations. In this role, you will serve as the internal subject matter expert on U.S. consular procedures, with a primary focus on E-2 Treaty Investor visa applications. You will guide clients through every stage of the consular process, from completing application forms and scheduling appointments to preparing for interviews. You will also ensure that documentation meets specific consular requirements and that each case progresses smoothly and efficiently. Working in a fully remote, international environment, you will collaborate with clients, attorneys, and internal teams across different countries. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your consular expertise in a dynamic private-sector environment while helping international entrepreneurs pursue their business and immigration goals.

-
Collaborate with package preparation teams and independent immigration attorneys to ensure application packages meet the specific requirements of each consulate, identifying and addressing documentation gaps before filing.
-
Track consular processing timelines, appointment availability, and wait times, helping optimize interview scheduling and reduce delays.
-
Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and internal training materials to standardize consular knowledge and workflows.
-
Keep client records and case progress updated in HubSpot, Jira, and other relevant project management tools.
-
Identify opportunities to improve consular workflows, operational efficiency, and the overall client experience.
-
1–3 years of professional experience working in the consular section of a U.S. Embassy or Consulate, ideally as locally engaged staff, a consular assistant, or in a similar position.
-
Demonstrated experience with E-2 Treaty Investor visas from the consular perspective, including application processing or adjudication support.
-
Practical knowledge of the U.S. nonimmigrant visa application process, including DS-160 forms, MRV fee payments, appointment scheduling platforms (U.S. Travel Docs/AIS), documentation requirements, and interview procedures.
-
Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to conduct client meetings and prepare written instructions in both languages.
-
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when reviewing application forms, personal information, dates, supporting documents, and consistency across case files.
